CAYMAN VISITOR
Known for both it’s turquoise waters and exquisite sunsets, my concept is based on how the beauty of The Islands transforms over the course of 24 hours.
The UI
Ambient
The appearance of our main menu changes with the time of the day. Every time the user opens the app they will be pleasantly surprised by the new ambience evoked by the combination of images and hues used.
Simplistic
While it is an image heavy interface, the strict hierarchy of content and actionable areas keeps the interface uncluttered and is quick to digest and understand from first use onwards.
Striking
Unlike any other app interface, this design is unique and striking in it’s use of Cayman Island imagery, while still striking that balance between visual appeal and functionality.
The UX
Information Architecture
The Cayman Islands are a hive of activity and attractions, any one of which are too good to miss out on. Via a tough editing process, my client and I chose the most engaging content and organised it into categories of varying hierarchy.
The User Journey
From the home screen of the app, the user has quick access to filters, can make a booking within a few taps and quickly begin again. It’s straightforward, it’s simple and it works a charm.
Excitement and Satisfaction
The carousel on the main menu makes browsing the content fun, exciting and satisfying. The user experience is playful, it is pleasant and it is simple. Similar to that of life on the island!

And the Exciting Part?
Every single step of the process!

I am a multi-tasker. Working on a wide variety of projects keeps the creative juices flowing. Designing for all screen sizes is a collaborative effort. Working closely with clients, developers and user testers is a tight knit process that produces exciting and compelling results. (Plus, it’s also nice to have a bunch of co-workers to high five when your app hits top of the charts upon release!)
